What types of items do you preserve? ►
We preserve a wide variety of personal and family materials, including printed photographs, slides, and negatives; handwritten letters and diaries; financial and legal documents; scrapbooks and albums; military records; school records; and travel memorabilia such as itineraries and postcards.
How do you store and preserve original photos and documents? ►
Original items are carefully handled using archival-quality materials. We store photos in acid-free sleeves and boxes, and documents in archival folders. All items are kept in a climate-controlled environment while in our care, and digital backups are created and stored securely.
What is vacation archive management? ►
Vacation archive management is our service that helps you organize and preserve everything from your travels — photos, itineraries, tickets, menus, maps, and other keepsakes — into a beautifully organized collection, either digitally or in a physical archive.
Can you also help organizing household records and timelines? ►
Absolutely. We specialize in organizing household paperwork including tax records, insurance documents, medical records, utility records, and more. We can create a clear filing system — physical, digital, or both — that makes finding documents easy.
Is it safe to ship my originals to you? ►
Yes. We provide detailed packing instructions and work with insured shipping carriers. We photograph all items upon receipt and send you a confirmation. Your originals are tracked throughout the process and returned safely once the work is complete.
How long does the process take? ►
The timeline varies based on the size and complexity of your project. A typical photo organization project takes 2–4 weeks. Larger household record projects may take 4–8 weeks. We’ll give you a specific estimate during your consultation.
How do you ensure my digital files are organized? ►
We apply a consistent naming and folder structure to all digital files, making them easy to browse and search. We can organize by date, event, person, or category — whatever works best for your family. Every project includes a clear index.
Do you return my original items? ►
Yes, always. Your original materials are returned to you in the same condition we received them, or better. We never discard originals without your explicit written permission.
How do you work with materials that are damaged or fragile? ►
We have experience handling deteriorated, brittle, or water-damaged materials. We use specialized tools and techniques to safely scan fragile items and can recommend conservation specialists if restoration is needed beyond our scope.
Do I need to be local to use your services? ►
No. While we primarily serve families in North Central Pennsylvania, we work with clients across the country. Many services can be handled remotely, and we provide secure shipping instructions for clients who need to send us physical materials.
How do I get started? ►
The easiest way to start is to schedule a free consultation — by phone, video, or in person. We’ll discuss your family’s needs, assess the scope of the project, and recommend a plan. You can also
contact us by email or phone anytime.
What happens during a consultation? ►
During a free consultation, we listen to what you’d like to accomplish, look at examples of your materials if available, and explain how our process works. We’ll recommend the right services for your situation and provide a clear project estimate.
How much do your services cost? ►
Pricing depends on the scope of your project. We offer flat-rate packages for common services and hourly rates for custom projects. We provide a detailed quote after your free consultation so there are no surprises.
How do you protect my privacy? ►
We treat all family documents and photos with the strictest confidentiality. We never share, publish, or use your materials for any purpose other than completing your project. All digital files are stored on encrypted, access-controlled systems.
How do you ensure secure handling of my items? ►
Every item is logged, photographed, and tracked from the moment it arrives. We maintain a secure, access-controlled facility. Only authorized staff handle client materials, and we carry professional liability insurance.
Can you digitize videos, film, and audio? ►
Yes. We can digitize 8mm and Super 8 film, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, vinyl records, and other media formats. Digitized files are delivered in modern, accessible formats compatible with today’s devices.
Do you work with genealogy research? ►
We can support genealogy projects by organizing and digitizing records that support family history research. While we’re not a genealogy research firm, we often partner with genealogists and can refer you to trusted specialists.
Can we collaborate on a larger project? ►
Of course. We love working on larger family archive projects — sometimes spanning multiple generations of materials. We can structure larger projects in phases to manage cost and timeline, and we’re happy to work with multiple family members.
